Lena Oehmsen
In Ziffern

/ 11

In her new exhibition Lena Oehmsen focusses on the different layers of reality coming together in a digital image.

Through the re-translation of digital information into analogue tactile objects, that goes along with the dissolution of systematic structures and the emphasis of the formal technical background, Oehmsen offers a sharp analytical look at the medium of photography.

And yet, her works reach and move the observer. They activate the collective visual memory and develop a subjective narrative momentum.

Lena Oehmsen studied Photography at the Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. She has won among others the John deBlois Memorial Award and the Artgrant Junior Award 2013. Her work has been regularly exhibited, recently in the Gallery of the City of Kiel, the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven and on the Bremer Kunstfrühling 2014.

Opening: 02/11/2016 7:00 pm - Lena Oehmsen is present.

Finissage: 16/12/2016 7:00 pm
