In general, we do not save any personal data while you are using our website.
When you visit the Bräuning Contemporary website(„www.braeuningcontemporary.com“ or „our website“), our servers collect information about your specific page requests, about your browser and operating system, the website you came from (in case you followed a link to us) and a part of your IP address. These data are only used to provide the website functionality and secure its operation.
When you visit our website, we run analytics software (Matomo) to collect details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out such things as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way that does not identify anyone. The legal basis we rely on to process your personal data is article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, which allows us to process personal data when its necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests.

Newsletter
We send out e-mail newsletters to keep you updated about the gallery and the works of its artists. When you subscribe to the newsletter, we save your e-mail address. We only do so to provide this service. The legal basis we rely on for processing is your consent under article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
You have the right to withdraw your consent, or to object to the processing of your personal data for this purpose at any time.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we keep a record of the date and form of your subscription. Also, we keep a record when you unsubscribe from the newsletter service. We do so only to prove that we processed your data according to the applicable laws. The legal basis we rely on is article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, which allows us to process personal data when its necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests. Your subscription and unsubscription records are kept for three years following the last newsletter sent out to you.

We do not store any personal information in those cookies. They only contain a unique sequence of letters and numbers and allows our server, to recognize you when you return to our website or request a different page.
Recipients of personal data
We use hosting service providers to make sure the IT we are using is up to date and secure. Those service providers act as processors on behalf of us and are only allowed to process our data based on our instructions and within the purposes we have collected it for.
We do not sell personal data of our clients and users or give it to our partners or service providers for their own economic benefit. We do not transfer data to a third country outside the EU.
Your data protection rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights we need to make you aware of:

You have the right to ask us for copies of personal information we have collected about you.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data when we base its use on article 6(1)(e)
or (f) GDPR. If we agree to your objection we must stop using your data for that purpose unless we can give strong
and legitimate reasons to continue using your data despite your objections. However, you have an absolute right to
object to us using your data for direct marketing, i.e. to sell you something.
(f) Right to data portability
You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us from one organisation to another,
or give it to you. The right only applies if we are processing information based on your consent or under,
or in talks about entering into a contract and the processing is automated.
(g) Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances (e.g.
we no longer need your data but you want us to keep it in order to create,
exercise or defend legal claims; or while we are considering a challenge you have made to the accuracy of your data)
