Juliane Ebner
Zentralverriegelung

/ 7

Berlin artist Juliane Ebner collects the events of the day. She gains inspiration from newspaper reports and news footage and translates her ideas into drawings on transparent foils. She then copies and layers the foils and makes collages from that material. The drawings stand for themselves, but are also the starting point for other works, such as paintings or animated films. The results of this process form an "alphabet of human possibilities", as the artist calls it.

Juliane Ebner has studied Fine Arts in the class of Peter Nagel and Ralf Weißleder at the Muthesius-Kunsthochschule Kiel. Her work made it into a number of public collections, including such renowned as the collection of the German State of Schleswig-Holtstein and the German Federal Parliament Deutscher Bundestag Art Collection.
